Theodore Roosevelt Park 13165 Mt. Pleasant Road is off Mt. Pleasant Road, Jacksonville, Florida. There is a brown sign posted but the park entrance is approximately 1 mile down on Ft. Caroline Road/Mt. Pleasant. If you are heading East on Merrill/Wonderwood road you turn on the road before you get to the former Barbeque Barn. There is a chain link fence and a gate at the entrance. This will be an energetic, challenging and extremely scenic hike at the Theodore Roosevelt Park in the Ft. Caroline area of Jacksonville.

The hike will be approximately 4-5 miles with some steep hills, views of the salt marshes, wildlife, and some of the most beautifully manicured wooded trails in Florida. This is an expansion of the Timucuan Preserve. The park is located in the Ft. Caroline area just West of the Wonderwood Bridge. There is NO fee to enter or use the park. Parking is limited, but you can park in the grass, per the Park Ranger.
After the hike we can grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant.
