Phenomenal, unobstructed vistas looking across the water to the rugged peaks of Kachemak Bay State Park.
The trail passes through areas with high grass and cow parsnip, so wearing long pants is highly recommended. It can also be quite muddy in the spring or after a heavy rain, though boardwalks cover the worst segments.
Recommended to be prepared for rain/muddy trails. Sunscreen, bug spray, and bear spray recommended!
