What we’re about
Explore California's wilderness, learn backpacking skills, and meet new friends this spring through the Sierra Club's Basic Backpacking Course. The course includes 16 hours of classroom sessions in Palo Alto, plus three backpacking trips - two local weekenders and one 3-day trip to the Sierras. Instructors are experienced volunteer trip leaders from the local Sierra Club's Backpacking Section. Class size is limited, and you must register in advance. The cost is $125 plus trip expenses.
