Brighton Rec Area hike - is it spring yet?

Join us for a hike on the Penosha Trail (5 miles) or the Kahchin trail (2 miles). Both hikes start together; you can decide when you arrive which one you want to do. Bring your Waterproof Boots, may be a slush fest..

We are planning on dining afterwards, Olive Garden, 6870 Whitmore Lake Rd, Brighton, MI 48116

Please arrive at 2:45 PM for sign in so we can start promptly at 3 PM.

Cost: free, but requires state park entry fee or passport.

From the east: from intersection of Bauer Rd & Bishop Lake Rd in Brighton - go west on Bishop Lake Rd for 1.2 miles. Turn left at Bishop Lake Complex sign then quick right after toll booth into trailhead parking lot.
From the west: from intersection of Bishop Lake Rd and Chilson Rd in Howell, go east on Bishop Lake Rd 1.4 miles, turn right at Bishop Lake Complex sign then quick right after toll booth into trailhead parking lot.
