The New Orleans Group of the Sierra Club will have a program on Sunday March 8 at Community Church Unitarian (6690 Fleur De Lis Dr, New Orleans in Lakeview. Doors open at 6:30pm, program at 7pm.

Our presenters will be Karla Frias-Romaine with Southeastern Wind Coalition, Stacy Ortego from National Wildlife Federation, and Andrea Hernandez-Gaudin from Center for Planning Excellence.
We will discuss the current state of proposed wind energy development in Louisiana, the benefits of wind projects, environmental impacts and mitigation measures, the role of community benefit agreements and how they can help ensure responsible development, and the importance of the PSC and upcoming elections in advancing renewable energy development in Louisiana.
