Beginners Bike Ride: C+O Canal Shepherdstown to Taylors Landing
Distance/Difficulty: Approx. 16 miles/EASY
Duration: 2.5 hours
Description: This is an easy bike ride for beginners or anyone ready to start the biking on C+O canal from Lock 38 Shepherdstown to Mile Marker 72.7 to Taylors Landing Mile Marker 80.9 and back. We will be keeping a simple and easy pace. Seasoned bikers are also welcome, just remember we will not be going fast since we are in a group. There will be many spots with history and pretty views of the river.
Bring: Helmet (MANDATORY), bike, spare tube, water and snack. Dress in layers and shoes appropriate for weather conditions.
