Day Hike: Woodthrush and Farmstead Trail Loop – Sweet Run State Park, VA

Description: 5-mile, moderate hike on rolling terrain. The trail winds through lush forests and open meadows of Sweet Run State Park along with the remnants of a 19th-century farming community, including historic structures and Wortman Pond.

There is a $10 per car State Park entry fee or you can use your VA State Park Pass, Deposit bottom part of the REI receipt in the entry envelope or check out the State Park Pass from the Loudoun County library.
Bring: Water and snack. Wear shoes appropriate for walking on uneven ground and varying terrain. Walking sticks and poles may be helpful. Dress in layers for varying temperatures.

Cancellation: We will carry on in light rain but cancel in significant precipitation and icy conditions.
