The 26th Annual Big Yard Sale at the University of Richmond

Each year, the Sierra Club Falls of the James Group (FOJG) demonstrate our commitment to reduce, reuse and recycle by collecting University of Richmond (UR) student discards that are in good condition for a community yard sale at the college. Along with UR staff and FOJG volunteers, we divert truckloads of items from the landfill, then FOJG volunteers sort the items, and either sell them to the public or donate them to local charities. UR and FOJG split the proceeds, with UR funds going to the UR Rethink Waste Department and FOJG using funds for speaker honorariums/donations to nonprofits, Green Giant awards and donations to nonprofits, conservation efforts, environmental grants, etc.,

Women's and Men's Clothing, Shoes, Linens, Appliances, Kitchen Items, Sporting Goods, Books, Office Supplies, Lamps, Household Electronics, Office Chairs, and Mini Refrigerators and Microwaves
