O: Lake Hollywood Loop

This outing is a moderate 3-mile loop around the Hollywood Reservoir, beginning at the Weidlake Drive entrance. The hike follows a single-track trail and gravel/dirt path, to Lake Hollywood Park , with about 200 feet of elevation gain. Expect city views, glimpses of the Hollywood Sign, and opportunities to spot local birdlife. Total hiking time is about 2 hours.

What to bring: Sturdy hiking shoes, water, sun protection.

No dogs allowed at Hollywood Reservoir.

Covid Considerations: Both vaccinated and unvaccinated people may be present; everyone is encouraged to keep distance and respect others needs. Masks are optional. Please do not attend if you are ill or believe you may have Covid.

Directions:
From the 101 Freeway (Southbound):Take the Barham Blvd exit and turn left onto Barham. Continue until Cahuenga Blvd, then turn left. Turn right on Pilgrimage Bridge / Pilgrimage St, which becomes Weidlake Dr. Continue up Weidlake Dr to the reservoir entrance gate.

From the 101 Freeway (Northbound):Exit at Highland Ave and turn right. Continue north and turn right on Cahuenga Blvd. Turn right on Pilgrimage Bridge / Pilgrimage St, which becomes Weidlake Dr. Continue up Weidlake Dr to the reservoir entrance gate.

Parking: There is limited public street parking along Weidlake Dr near the reservoir gate. Please arrive early to find a spot and allow time to walk to the meeting location.
