Help us get McKay Bay Trail cleaned up on January 24th
from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The Tampa Bay Group of Sierra Club in partnership with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful has adopted McKay Bay Nature Park. Our first cleanup will be on January 24th. This beautiful park near downtown Tampa has become overgrown with exotic plants and trash on the trails.

We have long range plans to have the invasive plants removed, clean up the trash and repair the boardwalk. On Jan. 24 we are going to focus on the new trail that has been built that runs beside the Selmon Expressway.
The trail originates in downtown Tampa and continues beside McKay Bay Nature Park. There are immediate plans to continue the trail along to The By-Pass Canal all the way to Trout Creek Wilderness Park

We will also be joined by the 8th graders of Academy Prep of Tampa and St Pete, so this is a great opportunity for families to get involved.
