Celebrate National Gopher Tortoise Day with an engaging, family-friendly event hosted by the New Port Richey Public Library and Florida Suncoast Sierra Club. Meet live “creepy crawly” critters from Heart of the Wild, Inc., hear from a Florida biologist who specializes in gopher tortoises, and learn why this keystone species is so vital to our ecosystem.
Enjoy kids’ activities and a screening of the documentary Gopher Games—it’s sure to be a true SHELLebration!
