Verdi Hydroelectric Power Plant Tour & Crystal Peak Trail Walk

Tour TMWA's Hydroelectric power plant on the river with a guide. It has been in operation for over a century and creates clean, sustainable renewable energy, directly from the Truckee River to power thousands of homes while offsetting a large portion of the carbon footprint for the utility company's operational need. Parking on-site. No steps to navigate. The tour is about an hour.
We can have an outside lunch (weather permitting) and explore the nearby trails of Crystal Peak Park (about 2 miles on a flat surface) to round out our day.
Directions: 80 West - Exit 5 to Verdi - Right on Bridge St. - cross canal and take immediate right. 0 Power House Rd., Verdi, 89439 (G2F9+HP, Verdi, NV 89439); there might be some construction so allow ample time!

• Hiking boots or sturdy walking shoes are strongly encouraged;
• Remember to bring your sun screen & ear plugs!
