Sierra Valley Preserve


Details
Introductory visit to the newly opened Sierra Valley Preserve operated by the Feather River Land Trust (Website) near Beckwourth, CA. It is habitat for Sandhill Cranes, Bald Eagles, Herons, Ibises, and many other aquatic birds. Carpool from Reno, a 1-hour drive, visit their Nature Center, and hike around the Preserve, 4-5 miles at a leisurely pace.
If time allows, we will also drive around to their Wildlife Overlook on the east side.
Bring lunch and plenty of water; and wear good walking shoes.
Please remember to bring cash to share the cost of gas with drivers,
Elevation gain up to 20 ft. Moderately Easy. ND (No Dogs)
