Hunter Creek Falls Dayhike

Details

This is a great out and back hike with nice views and ends with an amazing year round waterfall. The outing will be close to 6 miles and 1,200 feet in elevation gain out and back at a moderate pace as we follow the creek to the top. The first half of the trail is exposed and then winds into a tree lined trail with plenty of wildflowers and chirping birds as we near the waterfall, our turnaround spot. This trail is rocky in a few sections, and you may need to scramble on a small section on an off camber pitch. Well-mannered dogs are welcome and you will need a leash for the beginning of the hike and possibly other areas that are steep and narrower or when passing other trail users as this is a heavily trafficked spot.

  • Restrooms are available (vault toilet);
  • Please carpool if your schedule allows;
  • Hiking boots or sturdy walking shoes are strongly encouraged; please bring poles for balance;
