Evening Conditioning Hike -- Tamarack Peak (9897')

Hike from Mt. Rose Trailhead to the summit of Tamarack Peak (9897').
Hiking at 9000 feet for 4 mi with 1000 ft elevation gain, some on trails, some cross country. Bring snacks and plenty of water. Good hiking boots and windbreakers are recommended. Sunny weather predicted, but with temps in the 50's at that altitude, so come dressed for chilly weather.
Not a beginners hike!! Moderately strenuous, due to the altitude.
