Details

Hike up the Virginia Range foothills to a down-dropped valley, and the back side of Hidden Valley Park. Discover trails and learn about nature and geology around the Truckee Meadows. Expect to see wild horses munching on desert vegetation.
The weather is forecast to be mild with temps in the 50's-60's, so dress accordingly.
Bring plenty of water, energy snacks, and a lunch for the summit.
Note: Not a beginner's hike! Distance 9 miles RT. Elevation gain up to 1500 feet.
Moderately strenuous. DL (Dogs limited).
