New Years Day hike at a civilized hour! Start to recover from the holidays and,,,
Get back in shape after with a conditioning hike of about 5 miles at a brisk pace.
Hiking along the Tom Cooke, Steamboat Ditch, and other trails in west Reno.
Discover trails and learn about nature and geology; and search for the Aero Arrow.
Bring lunch, snacks, and plenty of water. Good hiking boots are recommended.
Cool and cloudy weather is forecast with temps in the 40's, and a small chance of light rain. Come prepared for oppholdsvær. Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlige klær...
Elevation gain up to 600 ft. Moderate difficulty.
DL (Dogs on leash; be advised this is rattlesnake country).
Where to meet us: Park on the east side of White Fir St, next to the Patagonia bldg, just north of the bridge over the Truckee River.
