Dry Pond via Thomas Creek
Details
The hike from Thomas Creek to Dry Pond offers breathtaking views from the summit, switchbacks, and creek-side pathways. The trail maintains a gentle gradient alongside Thomas Creek, but the grade steepens as you go. The trail opens into a meadow-like area and passes through a thick forest full of Mountain Mahogany, Aspen, White Fir, and Jeffrey pines.
Considered Moderately Strenuous: Length 5.6 miles, Elevation gain 994ft

Directions to the Thomas Creek Trailhead
From Reno at I-580 and Mt Rose Highway (SR-431), head west on SR-431 for approximately 4.5 miles. Turn right onto N. Timberline Drive and travel approx. 1.3 miles . Trailhead will be on your left.
