Carpool from Galena Junction Shopping Center 9:00 AM
Hike starts from Mormon Station Historic State Park 10:00 AM

Genoa Loop is about 8.2 miles long and over 1,500 feet elevation gain and loss. Great views of the Carson Valley with scattered mostly Jeffrey pines and a waterfall along the way. We will hike this trail counter clockwise.
Dogs welcome but must be on a leash when at the trailhead or in a residential area. This hike is considered Moderately Strenuous because of the distance and steep climbs.

Carpooling
If you wish to carpool, meet at 9:00 AM in the parking between the Shell gas station and Starbucks in the Galena Junction Shopping Center, 18250 Wedge Pkwy, Reno.

Hiking boots and poles are recommended. Dress in layers as it may start off chilly. As always, bring water and snacks to keep yourself hydrated and energized.

Since this is a Sierra Club hike, we ask you to sign our liability waiver at the trailhead and donate $1 to help cover First Aid Training for all our leaders. If you want to review the Sierra Club Sign-Up and Participant Agreement in advance, see pages 3-4 at: https://bit.ly/3zN1Jl0

Membership in the Sierra Club is NOT a requirement to participate in any of our hikes. For more information about the Sierra Club, its mission, history, and other events, please see our website : http://www.sierraclub.org/toiyabe/great-basin
