Naturalist-Led Hike at Miller-Smith Preserve
Details
We are mere days away from the winter solstice and although many plants, animals and birds have prepared themselves for sleeping the long, cold months away, there are several still out and about enjoying the frosty air. Come savor the brisk morning and see how the woods and all its inhabitants are changing as they prepare for winter’s long sleep. Proper winter gear and binoculars are recommended. Led by naturalist Elle Bogle.
The hike will be approximately 1.3 miles at a relaxed pace on natural trails with minimal elevation changes. There will be multiple stops.
There are neither bathrooms nor water at the trailhead.
Being a county preserve, dogs are not allowed.
The event is free.
