September Program: Trash Talk - Reducing Ann Arbor's Emissions

Dan Ezekiel will be giving an overview of his lifetime as an advocate for reduction of solid waste. He is a retired teacher, a leader of the local Sierra Club, and a Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commissioner. He cut his political teeth advocating for Michigan's Deposit Container law (the Bottle Bill) and in the 1970's, he helped start Recycle Ann Arbor in 1978. He conceived the idea for the Trash Talk Tour, which will celebrate its 4th annual event on Sept. 29 of this year. He will be talking about lessons learned from a lifetime of advocacy and answering questions like "Does the material we put in our curb carts actually get recycled?"
