Veridian at County Farm: A New Paradigm in Sustainable Development
Details
Veridian at County Farm in Ann Arbor, MI is unique. It is a mixed-income community targeted to be net zero energy: 100% all-electric, powered by solar, with resilient energy storage and no gas lines or combustion appliances. In addition, water runoff is managed regeneratively, and innovative, sustainably-sourced building materials minimize residents' exposure to chemicals.
We have a very dynamic speaker, Matt Grocoff. Matt founded The THRIVE Collaborative, which designed and built Veridian. During the presentation we will screen a PBS documentary dedicated to Veridian, after which Matt will hold a Q&A.
