Waterfall Hike at Uvas Canyon

Details
Family Explorers calls for young adventure seeking girls and boys to join our Waterfall Loop expedition in Uvas Canyon. Test your stream hopping skills, endurance while hiking steeper sections, keen hearing while listening to sounds of waterfalls, and eyesight while spotting fifty shades of green.
Our interpretative walk adventure will begin at the Uvas Canyon Park parking lot. We will follow the Waterfall Loop trail and tackle the steepest section in the first quarter of the hike (700ft elevation gain over 1ml). Then we will enjoy a gentle level traverse that will lead us all the way down, back to the trailhead.
We will take a snack break and after the hike, we will enjoy a lunch at the picnic area.
Only 15 spots are available! $6 parking fee. You MUST pay an entrance fee in advance. You may do it here https://gooutsideandplay.org/reservations/product.asp
Please wear shoes with thick soles, because we will be crossing streams several times and walk on a muddy trail. It will most likely be cold, so dress up in layers and bring gloves to keep your hands toasty.
This moderate hike is for families with kids ages 6 to 12 who can comfortably walk 4 miles. The Sierra Club requires signing a waiver at the trailhead.
