Hike Bald Rock Mountain near Lincolnville

Details

This hike is easy to moderate and is comfortable for those who don't like the really steep stuff. The elevation gain is about 830 feet. If you're new to the group this is a good one for you.
Arrive at 9:00 for parking. We'll start up the trail at 9:15. Total distance is about 3.5 miles. A Sierra waiver must be signed at the beginning of the hike.

The hike tops off with a spectacular, endless view of beautiful Penobscot Bay and some circling ospreys if we're lucky. Wear hiking shoes and bring a hiking stick or poles. Also bring something to drink and a simple snack so we can celebrate at the summit. There is a $2.00 trail fee per person that you pay in the little honor steel box at the trail head.

TO FIND US: THERE IS NO SPECIFIC ADDRESS FOR THE TRAILHEAD, BUT IT'S EASY...
US 1 to Lincolnville, turn west onto ME-173 N (Beach Road). Go a little over 2 miles then turn left onto Youngtown Road. Watch for the gravel trailhead parking lot IMMEDIATELY on the left.

Please do not sign up for this event if you are not feeling at the top of your game. Covid is not finished with us yet.
