Winter Solstice Walk

Celebrate the winter solstice in Westbrook. Our solstice journey starts at 3 PM at Riverbank Park. We will walk along the south side of Presumpscot River for about one mile to Conant St, passing through the memorial to Chief Polin of the Abenaki tribe. On Conant St we can observe the 4:06 PM sunset and answer the ever-popular winter solstice quiz. Our return route along Conant St and then Main St will end at the Mast Landing Brewery for those wishing a libation. Others can return the additional 1/2 mile to Riverbank Park.

Bring poles or microspikes to prevent slippage. Dress warmly. Leave pets at home. Participants are required to sign a waiver.
