Rock Springs Ranch: History & Habitat - Sierra Club's Monthly Meeting
Details
Join us at the Sierra Club's monthly meeting.
This Wednesday, January 14th at 7pm we'll take a fascinating look at the Rock Springs Ranch Preserve, its history and habitat.
Dave Hansen will fill us in on happenings at Rock Springs Ranch Preserve, a property in Juniper Flats, in the desert foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains near Apple Valley.
Rock Springs Ranch has habitat that hosts plants and animals important to our desert and mountains. The Mojave Desert Land Trust purchased Rock Springs Ranch a few years ago, in part with the help of the Sierra Club. Dave will tell us about its history, current developments, and future plans.
There will also be information for those who would like to tour the preserve and/or join hikes to some of its more remote points of interest.
The Mojave Group meets at the Sterling Inn, 17738 Francesca Rd, Victorville, CA 92395 (just off Ridgecrest Road, one block north of Bear Valley Rd).
Note: we meet in the Media Room, at the north end of the building. Easiest entry is off Lindero Street; park near the NORTH side and enter at the entrance with the overhead carport (near the covered parking area).
Refreshments will be served.
