Rattlesnakes!
Details
All are welcome. Sierra Club's Mojave Group monthly meetings are free and open to the public.
OUR MAY PROGRAM
Join us on Wednesday, May 13th to learn about rattlesnakes!
Adventures in our local nature and wilderness may also mean encounters with many species of snakes, including rattlesnakes.
Identifying these remarkable animals is important for keeping safe.
Norm Bossom will help us understand the complex, but predictable, behavior of these animals. Rattlesnakes are the only venomous snakes in Southern California. We'll explore the myths and legends of these widely-misunderstood reptiles.
Norm Bossom is a long-time member and leader in the Mojave Group of the Sierra Club, having served as hike leader and political chair. We welcome our fellow leader for this fascinating session on our local fauna!
The Mojave Group meets at the Sterling Inn, 17738 Francesca Rd, Victorville, CA 92395 (just off Ridgecrest Road, one block north of Bear Valley Rd).
Note: we meet in the Media Room, at the north end of the building. Easiest entry is off Lindero Street; park near the NORTH side and enter at the entrance with the overhead carport (near the covered parking area).
Light refreshments are served.
