Details

This is a Nassau County Sierra Club Event. We will start at the famous Ribault Club on Ft. George Island and hike to Kingsley Plantation.
Along the way we'll:

  • Learn about the local Timucuan settlements
  • Learn about the Ribault Club and its heydays
  • Climb Mount Cornelia (elevation 64 feet), the highest point in the coastal region
  • Do a short Clean-up along the river
  • Learn the history of Anna Kingsley
  • Have lunch on the lawn
  • Maybe spot a peacock or two

You will need lots of water, a bagged lunch, bug repellent and sunscreen. This is about a 4-mile flat hike, no pets allowed
You will need to sign a liability waiver.
Cancellation Policy: Event may be cancelled in case of rain or if weather threatens safety.
