Hike Alpine Groves Park

We'll walk for two miles on wheelchair and stroller friendly trails at this Fruit Cove park on the St. Johns. Along the way, there is a playground, several old farm buildings, and a long boardwalk out into the river.
After the hike, we can go to a local restaurant for lunch.

Bring bug spray and water. No pets except service dogs. Children are welcome.

DIRECTIONS: Alpine Groves Park is located at 2060 FL-13, Switzerland, FL. Take FL 13 (San Jose Blvd) south and over the Julington Creek bridge. After crossing the bridge, drive about 4.2 miles. The entrance to the park is on the right. We'll meet at the first parking area within the park by the large red building.

Cancellation Policy: Event may be cancelled if weather threatens safety such as in the case of lightning or high winds in the forecast. Also, if the heat index is forecast to be over 103, then the outing will be cancelled.
Participants are advised to check Meetup for current status before traveling to the event. Events may need to be cancelled at short notice.

* Help the environment by following these tips: Bring your water in a reusable container instead of a single-use plastic bottle. Use sunscreen free oxybenzone and oxtinoxate. These chemicals are extremely harmful to coral reefs, as well as being hormone disruptors in humans.
