The Piedmont Group holds general meetings and sponsors other events with the aim of providing educational programs on the natural environment and other issues of current interest. We're looking for folks to join us to save the natural world through learning and activism. PS - we have fun, too.

Moorman River/Turk Run Hike (yes, it's back on)
Location not specified yetThis hike will cover an eight mile loop including the Appalachian Trail, Turk Run Trail and Moorman River Trail in Shenandoah National Park. It's listed as strenuous due to the distance and elevation change, but the uphills are not very steep - just lengthy. Total hiking time will be about 4 hours. Bring water, layered clothing and a lunch for the trail. If you don't have an SNP pass, each car pays $30. No pets.
