Hike Crow's Nest, Boykin's Landing Trail, Stafford County VA

Our next adventure will be a 3.5 mile hike at Crow's Nest Natural Area Preserve in Stafford County, VA. We will hike the Boykin's Landing Trail down to Potomac Creek and back. This hike through the woods will be of moderate difficulty with several changes in elevation. We will meet Saturday, October 25th at 10 O'Clock. Location: Raven Road Access off of Brooke Rd in south Stafford County. Take Route 608 (Brooke Road) west, then turn right onto gravel Route 609 (Raven Road). Cross the 1-lane bridge over Accokeek Creek and continue for 0.2 mile. The Raven Road Access gate for Crow's Nest Natural Area Preserve will be on the left. Drive approximately 1.5 miles on the gravel road to the trailhead parking lot. We will meet there.
Michael Lott, the Northern Region Steward and Regional Supervisor for the VA Dept of Conservation and Recreation will be there to give us an overview of Crow's Nest and may join us on our hike.
After the hike, plan to join us for lunch at El Viejon Mexican Grill and Bar, 1243 Richmond Hwy.
