Friday, Jan 9: Bosque Bike Ride to Valle del Oro.

**Sign up: www.riograndesierraclub.org/calendar**

Meet at the Hispanic Cultural Center parking lot in southwest Albuquerque at no later than 9:45 a.m. We will depart promptly at 10:00 a.m. and return at approximately 1:00 p.m. Distance is about 20 miles.
We'll be riding on a flat paved bike trail along the bosque as well as a protected trail along the road. Hopefully we will see some wildlife, particularly as we enter the refuge. We will have an opportunity to explore the refuge, inside the visitor center (to warm up and take a break), and out.
Please have your bike in good riding order. A road bike or one with a wider tire will work well. You will need the tools and knowledge to fix flats on your bike. Sealant in the tires will prevent flats from goat-heads. Be sure you are comfortable riding this distance, though it will be slow/moderate speed, and no one left behind.
A helmet is mandatory, and a small pack with snacks and clothing is advised. Please dress warm, you can always shed clothes!
IF time permits, a coffee stop or bike in coffee visit will be considered!
