Join us for a happy hour at Atomic Liquors on Thursday, 2/5/26, at 6pm. We will be talking about this administration's recent attempts to resume explosive nuclear weapons tests in Nevada and what we as a community can do to prevent it. Nevada has a long history of explosive nuclear weapons testing with over 900 bombs tested at the Nevada test site in the 20th century. Thousands of people across the nation suffered horrible medical complications from this testing and the environmental destruction caused by this can't be overstated. Our current administration has made several statements indicating that they want to resume this explosive testing despite the fact that it is unnecessary and catastrophic to the health and wellbeing of our landscape and people. Join us to learn more about this issue and what we as a Sierra Club community can do to prevent repeating the mistakes of the past. The first round is on us!
