Service Project at Song Dog Nursery at Lake Mead

Join us for a service project at Song Dog Nursery at Lake Mead National Recreation Area. This nursery, run by the national park service, grows native Mojave plants and distributes them throughout the region. They need our help to maintain these plants! We will be watering seedlings, cleaning equipment and assisting at the nursery. Bring good shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Gloves and other tools provided.

The nursery is at 36.0521940000 N Latitude and 114.8224700000 W Longitude if you wish to add this to Google Maps. To get there, take 93 S and Lakeshore Rd to the Boulder Beach Entrance Station (fee or pass required), and then head 3.3 miles past the station on Lakeshore and there you will turn left onto an unnamed dirt road. You will take an immediate right at the first road you see (also dirt) and continue about 0.37 miles to the nursery which will be on the left.
