You are invited to join SNCKC for a paddle on Wednesday Apr 22nd at the Granite Bay area of Folsom Lake.

We will launch at 1030 from Oak Point, a scenic and quiet launch approximately 2.5 miles beyond the Douglas Boulevard park entrance. The park entrance fee id $12 per vehicle. We will go northeast about 3 to 3.5 miles towards Anderson Island. Bring your lunch so we can stop about the halfway point for a lunch break.

The lake is currently about 7ft from the rim so pretty high for this time of year.

The paddle is appropriate for all skill levels though the full paddle should be about 7 miles.

Weather is a bit iffy right now. Our 7 day out forecast indicates a small chance of rain before sunrise ... but it has been changing daily so keep your eyes out for an email if the weather forecast gets bad.

Please arrive about 1000 so we can launch at 1030. This is about an hour drive from the general Grass Valley area so we should probably be leaving our area by 0900 or earlier.

Directions: From I-80, take Sierra College Blvd to Douglas Blvd, turn left onto Douglas and go several miles to the park entrance at the end of Douglas. From the park entry booth, continue approximately 2.5 miles on the main park road to Oak Point (the start of our paddle).
