Details

Multi-day backpacking hike in the Yosemite High Sierra and Ansel Adams Wilderness area. The hike starts in the Toulmne Meadows area on Highway 120 within Yosemite and follows the JMT trails along the Toulmne river and then the PCT to Mt Lyell Glacier.
Mt Lyell Glacier is the only remaining glacier inside the Yosemite National Park. Those equipped with Crampons and cross the glacier and if not you can cross around it. We continue the hike to the Thousand Island lake for overnight camping on Saturday.
We leave early on Sunday morning from camp and hike back to Toulmne Meadows overnight parking area.
