Tour of Empire Ranch, picnic, walking/hiking
Details
Join us for a tour of the Empire Ranch, followed by a pot luck picnic and some walking/hiking.
Visit the Ranch's website or check Google for photos.
Docent-led walking tours of the historic Empire Ranch House start at the Empire Ranch Visitor Contact Station and provide an introduction to the history of the Empire Ranch families and the buildings in which they worked and lived. It's the first time for us leaders to tour the house.
Tours are free, but Reservations are required. Click here to make a reservation. Reservations are due by 5:00 pm on the Friday before the tour. Your friendly Meetup organizers request that you make your own reservation [so that we don't get blamed for people who sign up but don't show up.]
Please be aware that the terrain around the Empire Ranch headquarters is primarily dirt with uneven surfaces that can be challenging for walkers, wheelchairs, and some mobility scooters. Most of the rooms at the historic Empire Ranch headquarters are wheelchair accessible through the front breezeway (zaguán) entrance; the public restrooms are wheelchair accessible.
For questions regarding the tour or other details, please call the ranch at 888-364-2829.
We may be able to provide transportation from Sierra Vista, but please contact us in advance.
