Beginner Backpacking: Planning a Backpacking Trip

The second in a 3-part, beginner-backpacking series, including 2-night, beginner backpacking trip in September. Learn about trip selection, route planning, mapping/GPS overview, Leave No Trace basics, food and water planning including water purification options. We will cover emergency planning. We will have you do some interactive map reading.

Class size limited to 20 people. Must be 16 or older.

Class cost is $20 for expenses; payment (check or PayPal) in advance will confirm your spot.

Location is Bethesda Club Room, White Flint Station Condos, 11800 Old Georgetown Road, Rockville, MD.
