Come out and enjoy a summer hike at Sweet Run State Park. One of Virginia's newest state parks that was formerly the Blue Ridge Center For Environmental Stewardship, Sweet Run is located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains below the Appalachian Trail near Harpers Ferry in western Loudoun County, Virginia. Enjoy mountain views, open meadows, hardwood forests, ponds, streams,and an excellent trail system. Hiking distance: 6 miles over flat to rolling terrain. Bring a day pack, hiking boots, suncream, lunch, trail snacks, and two quarts of water. Meet at 10AM at Neil Boone Park on Harpers Ferry Road just outside Sweet Run State Park.
