Blockhouse Point Loop

Hike an approximately 8.3 mile loop with two out and back to the overlooks. The route traverses through rolling forest terrain and along the C & O Canal towpath (+ short paved and gravel sections) at Blockhouse Point Park. Enjoy autumn woods, canal and river views. Trails will be covered with leaves and hiking poles are recommended. Dress appropriately for the weather and bring water and lunch/snack. Execution of a Sierra Club liability waiver is required. Please arrive a few minutes to sign in before 9:30 start. $2/person voluntary donation is requested to support SCPRO volunteer-led activities.
