Silent Book Club Fundraiser!

Wanna help El Paso's Silent Book Club keep running smoothly? Here's your chance!

What is this? The El Paso Silent Book Club's first-ever fundraiser! Silent Book Club will be collecting money to cover overhead costs for the next year.

Where and when will it be? Wednesday, 22 October 2025 at 5-7 PM at the Don Haskins public park!

How do I contribute? We'll be collecting cash donations at the event as well as donations via Venmo at @Cinnamon-Malhotra. If you contribute via Venmo, please put "El Paso Silent Book Club" in the "What's this for?" note.

What will the money pay for? Money collected will mostly go towards SBC's Meetup+ subscription, which allows us to post events here where folks can find us, see event information, and RSVP. Some money will pay for fliers and other small promotional materials for the chapter. After we've raised $200, all additional funds will be donated to local libraries and organizations that promote literacy in our community.

Should I bring anything? We'll be gathering in the park, so folks are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets, and to dress comfortably. Feel free to bring snacks and beverages for yourself and friends! And, of course, bring a book!

Regular SBC meetup schedule applies - chat from 5:00 to 5:30, read from 5:30 to 6:30, and mingle from 6:30 til 7:00, or whenever you want to go!
