Silent Book Club is a global community of readers with nearly 2,000 chapters in 55+ countries. There's no assigned reading — it's bring your own book.
Explore Lafayette's local bookstores and coffee shops through our meet ups! We are working with a couple of partners for our first event but are open to anyone's suggestions.

Calling all Bibliophiles! If you love reading while sipping coffee at a cool local spot with fellow bookworms, this event is for you.
We'll be gathering on Wednesday, September 24, from 2-3:30 PM at MeCo Coffee Collective in Lafayette. The plan is simple: we'll kick things off by sharing what we're currently reading (no pressure, just good conversation!), then settle into 45 minutes of uninterrupted quiet reading time. After that, feel free to stick around, chat, and connect with fellow book lovers! All formats are welcome: physical books, ereaders, ebooks, audiobooks, etc.
MeCo Coffee Collective is generously hosting us for free, so we kindly ask that you support them by purchasing a drink or a treat while you're there. We can't wait to see you and your book!

We’ll be gathering on October 12 (Sunday) from 1:30–4:00 PM at the Louisville Public Library.
Agenda:
📚 From 1:30 to 2:30 PM, we’ll start set up and then open up the Book Swap—bring a book (or a few!) you’ve loved and are ready to pass along, and leave with something new-to-you.
📖 From 2:30 to 3:30 PM, we’ll enjoy some quiet, uninterrupted reading time—bring whatever you’re currently into (books, e-readers, audiobooks, all formats welcome!).
📚 Then from 3:30 to 4:00 PM, you can continue browsing the selection of available books, chat with other readers, or just stay and hang out some more!This event is free and open to everyone. Whether you're a longtime book club member or just love to read, we’d love to have you join us.
