What we’re about

We chat at start and end of the walk but not during it. This is not to say we do not communicate because a lot can be communicated with a look or a gesture or even just sharing the same space and same experience.

The group was inspired by Vipassana meditation which incorporates silent walking in its practice.  However this is a secular group and I ask all to be respectful of each others' world views.  Anyone willing to walk with us in silence is "spiritual" enough (whatever that word means) for this group membership.

Aborigines use the word "dadirri" when referring to the human capacity for deep listening as a means of better understanding our place in this world and feeling more connected. Hopefully our walks facilitate dadirri.
