Embark on an enriching journey into underwater videography with our specialized course designed for beginners eager to tell compelling stories through their aquatic adventures. This course covers the essentials of shot composition, understanding camera mechanics, and mastering video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro to craft engaging narratives.
Course Structure:
- Virtual Classroom Session (June 25 – 6-8 pm): This session will start with an in-depth introduction to the fundamentals of underwater video, focusing on equipment selection, understanding underwater lighting, composition techniques, and the art of visual storytelling.
- Dive Sessions (Sunday, June 28 @10 am): Apply your new skills during two guided cold-water dives at Sund Rock ($25 entry fee required), capturing stunning footage that tells a story about your underwater experiences.
- Review and Editing Session: Conclude the course with a session dedicated to editing your footage using Adobe Premiere Pro. Learn how to piece together your shots to narrate your underwater journey best. You can download a free trial of Adobe Premiere Pro for use during the class.
Requirements:
- Participants must be certified divers with recent experience in cold-water diving.
- Must own a video camera suitable for underwater use, ranging from GoPros to more advanced setups.
- Must have a computer capable of running Adobe Premier Pro
