May Silicon Triangle - Computational Stylistics of Shakespeare

Details
What better way to start the 4 day week than coming to the Silicon Triangle and listening to an interesting talk? And on the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death we couldn't have a more appropriate talk this month!
Tom Salyers will be talking to us about his thesis in the computational stylistics of Shakespeare and other Elizabethan drama.
From Tom: "You know Titus Andronicus? There's a theory that Shakespeare either collaborated with or reworked an earlier piece by a contemporary of his named George Peele.
I tried to get a computer to distinguish between their writing styles and see which bits might be by which author."
Tom will be discussing his method and findings with us.
I hope to see you all there for this talk which straddles science, technology and the arts.
Free entry, all welcome from boffins to novices.
