WebGL/WebVR at GTC 2016
Details
Our next meetup will be at the San Jose Convention Center and is to be part of the GTC lineup of over 500 sessions. GTC (aka the GPU Technology Conference) is the largest and most important event of the year for GPU developers and the entire ecosystem. The beauty of our event being a session at GTC is that, if you are interested in checking out more of GTC, if you come a little earlier in the day (around 5pm), you can use your "WebGL at GTC" pass (available at registration) for entry into the Expo Center.
There is a lot of excitement this year about VR!
A note about logistics:
This session will be held in room 210E at the NVIDIA GTC Conference, being held at the San Jose Convention Center.
If you are already attending GTC you will find the session on the program and you do not need to register here – just come along!
If you are not attending GTC – come early, your registration here will get you a free badge to the GTC Expo that opens from 5-7PM.
When you arrive at the Convention Center – come to the GTC registration desk – look for the WebGL sign – and your badge will be waiting for you.
Speaker Lineup
Isaac Cohen - "Discovering our Prismatic Reality" - Isaac has been working on a bomb talk about making VR with WebGL.
Brandon Jones (Google) - Brandon will be covering features from the latest WebVR drop.
Neil Trevett (Khronos Group) - Neil will be giving us a quick glTF update
Nick Brancaccio (Floored (http://www.floored.com/luma/)) - Nick has led the development developed of an amazing 3D rendering engine for Floored, a leading real estate technologycompany focused on computer graphics and VR. The engine, called Luma, excels in bringing interactive, high quality graphics to WebGL.
Luma's main rendering mode is a physically based pipeline with a BDRF optimized for natural surfaces. This pipeline can support up to 1,000 real-time lights (points, directional and area) and large scene graphs.
Jaume Sánchez (theSpite) - Jaume has created the most powerful WebGL debugging tools out there. He will be bringing more of his amazing work to talk about.
