Meet an Investor - Steve Klebe / Band of Angels

Details
Entrepreneurs looking to raise startup funds often face two problems:
- Very few investors in their network of contacts
- A poor understanding of what motivates the investor to write a check
Join us for a quick fireside chat with a startup investor where we help founders tackle these two issues. In this 30-minute webinar, Sam Wong sits down with an investor to discuss their investment philosophy and talk through a wide range of startup topics, from current investment trends to past successes and failures with other startups. We'll wrap with a brief audience Q&A.
Joining us this month is Steve Klebe from Band of Angels. Band of Angels is a formal group of 165+ angel investors, mostly former and current high tech executives, who invest their time and money into new, cutting edge, startup companies. Since the Band's inception in 1994 as the first organized high-tech angel investment group in the USA, we have funded 400+ companies with 92 profitable M&A exits and 17 IPOs. The entire Band meets monthly in Silicon Valley to formally consider 3 startups selected from among the 50+ that are screened each month by the Band deal selection process.
Steve Klebe serves on the enterprise / AI special interest group at Band of Angels. He has decades of payment industry experience, with executive roles at Stripe, Google GPay, CyberSource, CyberCash, and many others. Steve has spoken at dozens of industry conferences on topics such as Card processing, Fraud Screening, Authentication and Alternative Payment Types, etc. and was a five term member of the Board of Directors of the Electronic Transaction Association (ETA) (www.electran.org). Steve has also represented Stripe on the Merchant Risk Council, Merchant Advisory Group and PaymentsED Forum.
