Details
Topic Information
On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Silicon Valley Rainbow Rotary is pleased to host Harold Francisco (he/him/his) who will talk about Biometrics in Human Trafficking.
About the Speaker
Harold has been a member of the F.U.N. (Fremont, Union City, Newark) Sunset Rotary club for more than three years. Before joining Rotary, he volunteered at a homeless health clinic in Skid Row, Los Angeles, assisting with resources management and coordinating clients. He also volunteered for the American Cancer Society, helping public health officials with research regarding social determinants and risks for the various types of cancer. He served as a research assistant at the William’s Institute of Public Health at UCLA. He brings his experience in public health and dedication to service and community to Rotary. He is currently president of F.U.N. Sunset. By profession, he is a business developer for a packet capture, network analytics, and AI infrastructure company, Quantea Corporation.
Harold’s presentation is about the use of biometrics in human trafficking. He will tell a story of an individual going through a process of depersonalization and alienation. By means of invasive surveillance, the individual is forced into a system where autonomy is taken, humanity is not recognized, and worse, the individual is considered an enemy from within.
