Big Basin Redwoods hike and climb to the sea

This is a moderately strenuous hike along the famous Skyline-to-the-Sea trail from Big Basin Redwoods State Park down to Waddell Beach. This is a tree climbing meetup, so we will make numerous stops and detours for exploring the redwoods, clambering on the trunks of fallen giants, and studying the other tree species along the trail. As as in the last Big Basin Redwoods meetup, your humble organizer pledges to climb at least one giant redwood to the top.

It is very important to bring enough water for the entire hike. As it is a long hike, don't forget to bring a few snacks, as well. Dress comfortably and in layers. Please RSVP if you plan to come, as there is no cell service in the park, and we won't know to wait for you otherwise. There is a wooden deck with benches in front of the small park grocery store, where we met up last time. See you there.

Note that the starting time of the hike is subject to change; we may start as early as 8am, and we may start further back on the trail for a slightly longer hike; I will sync up with any RSVPs on these details well in advance of the outing.
