(Panelist) Claus Risager, CEO Blue Ocean Robotics

Claus Risager is Co-owner and Partner in Blue Ocean Robotics based in Odense, Denmark. Blue Ocean Robotics was founded in 2013 and is an international company specialized in developing and bringing new pioneering robotic solutions to the market at early stages through partnerships and pilot projects with early adopters. Claus is an internationally wellknown Robotics expert with more than 25 years of experience within robotics research, development and innovation. Claus holds a B.Sc in Computer Science, a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence and have given more than 200 talks on Robotics worldwide.

(Panelist) Søren Bøving, CEO Scape Technologies

Søren Bøving is the CEO of Scape Technologies. Based in Odense, Denmark, Scape technologies is the first company worldwide having developed a standardized Bin-Picking system, enabling robot arms to see, find and grip components randomly placed in pallet-bins and boxes. Scape’s award-winning technology enable cost effective and flexible industrial systems for automatic picking of components directly from pallets and delivery to presses, assembly lines, welding or CNC machining. Scape is founded in 2004 and is part of “Robotics Valley” in Odense, a thriving research and industrial activity community.

(Panelist) Niels Jul Jacobsen, CTO Mobile Industrial Robots

Niels Jul Jacobsen is the CTO of Mobile Industrial Robots. Also based in the Robotics cluster in Odense, Denmark Mobile Industrial Robots (MIR) is focused on developing mobile robots for use in industry, manufacturing companies and hospitals. MIR develops intelligent internal transport solutions that are very easy to set up and maintain and interacts seamlessly with people. MIR was founded in 2013 and is already an international player with partners in Norway, Germany, Italy and the Benelux.

(Moderator) Brian Anderson, partner700+ lawyer, full service AmLaw GLobal 100 law firm Sheppard Mullin

Even robots need lawyers. Brian is the robot's lawyer. He has represented robots (or more accurately robotics companies) in maters ranging from industrial applications to dancing with the Blue Man Group to filming Alfonso Cuarón zero-grativity thriller Gravity staring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. This futuristic outlook and practive resulted in Brian being appointed Co-Chair of the Firm's Technology Transactions Practive and Privacy & Data Security Practice.
